yahoo stuck in desktop view on android phone

my yahoo page always loads in desktop view or mode. i tried everything including uninstall reinstall, still same thing. in chrome it works in mobile format. i hate chrome. i cleared history,cookies,cache, checked unchecked request desktop box a 1000 times. must be something simple
