Lost top toolbars for Thunderbird email

We suddenly lost the top toolbars (File Edit View etc. and Send etc.) for our Thunderbird email. I couldn't find anything under "Get Help" in your website that makes any sense regarding this issue.

Press Alt or F10, then check Menu Bar under View|Toolbars.
