Sometimes Firefox doesn't show or open my 'home page'

I have Firefox installed on my android tablet. When I open it, it usually shows a 'home' page which has TOP SITES, BOOKMARKS, HISTORY menu options across the top, and then show a number of my 'pinned' web pages. And if I open another tab, it usually shows the exact same opening screen.

That's all well and good, and as I want things to be, EXCEPT, sometimes when I open a new tab, it shows a blank screen instead, and I don't see that there's any way to get it to show the screen I'd like it to - there's no refresh setting, nor any place I can see to go to to fix this. It's as if FF just forgot to go to the opening page for some reason?

Any ideas here? Any way to fix this, without having to close and then reopen FF, which is what I have to do now?

Hi Freedda

Thank you for your issue, and I am sorry that this has happened, but I believe that it may be performance related.

I recommend that you open the Android Settings app, select Applications, then find Firefox and clear the cache (do not clear data!). When you restart Firefox, you should see that this issue is resolved.

You may also wish to try our new browser Firefox Preview. I have been using it for a while now and have found that browsing is much smoother and easier.

I hope this helps.

I did clear the cache and it didn't really help at all. What is most frustrating is there is no way to 'refresh' the browser, and when this happens, there is no way to get to anything I have some interest in: bookmarks, nor history!

It seems that this something which needs to be fixed in this browser, so I'll submit that.
