What kind of version you guys use on your Macintosh? Is it a Beta version?

Or It could be certain tools add-on that could cause an error.

Check manual - auto update add- on.Switch it on off. look for a few days to see if it is still hanging or in your words giving freeze. . when you switch it on again.
