Originally had an issue with videos (youtube, Roosterteeth, etc) not playing on Edge or firefox yet working when posted in discord or on chrome. Found a solution that was to apparently install Windows Media feature pack to solve the problem for Edge, but in turn now causes firefox tabs to crash almost instantly when opened. These tabs have mostly consisted of youtube and firefox support pages thus far. The video player does seem to be fixed though as I've been able to load and play videos on roosterteeth.com.

Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the browser, clearing cache, starting in safe mode, and disabling the add ons and extensions.

Chosen solution

Enter about:config in the URL bar and set media.wmf.vp9.enabled = false. See if it helps.
