Addon Extractor does not work with the new version of Thunderbird - If no solution, i'll have to move to another e-mail program. Alternative: Filtaquilla
i get quite a few mails with addons. i have no time to open, inspect and download those addons. The (very old) addons Extractor did the job perfectly but is not compatible with the last versions of Thunderbird. If here is no solution to this problem i'll have to find another mail program

There is nothing named Addon Extractor. Are you talking about https://addons.thunderbird.net/thunderbird/addon/attachmentextractor/ ??
If so you can see there that the AUTHOR of that addon says it is discontinued. And if you googled "attachment extractor thunderbird" you find http://kb.mozillazine.org/Attachments_%28Thunderbird%29 which suggests using filtaquilla addon

Thanks for your message but still have no way to separate and to save attachments from a bulk of, lets say, 50 to 200 messages which i get daily
