I want to know what Firefox is doing using my camera when I Was at the Most looking at my local Television guide...
I've since taken the permission away but it Makes me want to know why and how often have I had the privacy comprised in my home just from using Firefox, which has been our choice of default for all of the devices in our home....

Hi Phillap, by default, if a site wants to use your camera or microphone, Firefox will ask you to give individual permission (or decline giving permission) to the site. Have you found any sites that can bypass that and use media recording devices without your express permission?
Here's an example that should trigger the permission request so you can see whether it looks familiar: https://mdn-samples.mozilla.org/s/webrtc-capturestill/

I know about that(but forgot) so I Thank You... but I was asking why it would when looking at that particular site as it's just the TV Guide alternative (zapto.it)for my area that I look at many times in a day... It creeped me out a bit... Hehe
I can't imagine why a TV Guide would need to look through your camera unless it was to read a bar code. ??
No code.. Just sitting on the couch and having the phone on the coffee table in front of me.. That's why I'm so confused and curious.. Thanks for the attempt though.. I originally thought I was asking Samsung when I first made the post.. Hehe
Thanks but no login was going on at the time... It was really right in the middle of my looking at a website I look at many times in a day sometimes
Thanks for the help and of course I should be asking this on the Zapto.it site...
You were more helpful than I originally thought.. I should be asking this to zapto.it... Thanks again
