I have two aol mail accounts and a gmail account. I have a laptop and a desktop where I run Thunderbird. I want to keep the address books in sync.

TBSync, and another similar add-on, tzpush, don't claim to work with Gmail, AOL or other non-EAS services. As mentioned above, gContactSync is recommended for Gmail accounts. The EAS-type add-ons should work for contacts even though TB doesn't support EAS mail access

The usual method is to set up a cloud-based address book with a webmail provider and then use an add-on to synchronize the address book with TB. This works with Gmail and outlook.com, but I'm not aware of a similar approach for AOL or other providers.

I have installed TBsync, but am not sure what to do next. I think it only will help for EAS anabled accounts. That should work for gmail. AOL is a webmail service, but again, not sure what the next step is to get access to the web based addresses. Is TBSync the right add-on or should I be looking for something else?
