I would like to set startpage as the default search engine in Firefox Focus but I don't understand what to enter in the "search string to use" field. Help.
The support pages don't explain it enough. For example, "feet" could be a search string but this doesn't fit the required format. If I enter the web address of the startpage search page that doesn't work either. I'm not a tech. expert and am at a loss to know what to enter. Please advise.

Hi
I have just tested this myself and it should work for you.
- From the Firefox Focus for Android home screen, select the three dot menu in the top right corner.
- Choose Settings.
- Under Search, select the default option and then + Add another search engine.
- Set the Search engine name as startpage
- Set the Search string to use as https://www.startpage.com/search/?q=%s.
This should work for you, but if not, please come back here and we can look into a different solution for you.
