I got my answer from here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-delete-and-view-bookmarked-webpages-firefox-an#w_quickly-find-any-bookmark-on-your-device (look for the "Quickly find any bookmark on your device" sub-heading). Yup, Firefox for android does not have a dedicated search for tags and bookmarks. Although, when you type anything on the address bar it also displays the content of your bookmarks that matches with a "star" symbol as an indicator.

Firefox for Android does not have the feature to search only bookmarks or tags.
