Having a little trouble. Posted on mozillazine under mobile b/c I can't download FF for mobile. Mod states he's "Moving to mobile" but I have no idea where that is. Would anyone be able to tell me where that would be?

I use "the browser" to go to the site but my android 4.4 kitkat tablet seems to then switch to moborobo, I think, and fails to (down)load. Was hoping I could download that app (?) to my pc and transfer it.

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Cheers,

Mac

This search link will show your questions on this site if you need to find an earlier question:

MozillaZine is a completely different site.

Websites can use certain codes to suggest to browsers that they should open content in an app. But if you are downloading from a Mozilla server, I don't know that would happen. What is the address you're trying to load?

As you can see on http://forums.mozillazine.org there are different forum sections.

You posted your thread in Firefox Support and the thread was moved from Firefox Support to the Mobile section as the Firefox section is for desktop Firefox.

Your thread is in Mobile section: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=3037813 (typo 303781 when it should be 3037813)

Actually I posted under Mobile. Hence my question. In any event, others also are having the same issue where FF mobile fails to download, as I know from using an advanced search function.

The site I reach is www.mozilla.org/en-US with a blue page and below 'Fast for good' is a green FF for Android button to download. It definitely is an issue w/Moborobo/ Mobomarket superceding 'the browser' (an app) or Chrome (also an app), which then tells me 'failed to load'. I can research how/why the download craps out but I find it perplexing.

Since it seems stupid to reply 'moving to mobile' when I'm actually posting in the mobile section I thought I'd try this site. Odd, huh?

Still think I should be able to get the FF for android download via pc and be able to transfer it. Besides thinking outside the box that would seem to be a quick solution.

But thanks,

Mac

Sorry I had a typo in thread number (missed the 3 on end) though you know where the thread is now. http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=3037813

btw the the forums.mozillaZine.org and support.mozilla.org are completely separate sites.

Nope, you posted the thread originally in Firefox Support which is http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=38 and Dan moved the thread to Mobile section http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=47

I am a Mod on mozillaZine so I can see the thread logs which said "Moved topic » from Firefox Support to Mobile" on Jan 29.

You can download the current Release of Firefox for Android from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/android/all/

James I owe you an apology. Mozillazine having moved my original post & listing only that moved post under 'view your posts' confused me. Without a record I deduced orig was made under Mobile.

Again, apologies.
