Unable to load "NemID_PKCS11.dll" security device
Hi, I'm running TB 52.4.0 and trying to setup for digital signed mail. I'm following this guide:
https://www.nemid.nu/dk-da/kom_i_gang_med_nemid/sikker_e-mail/send_og_modtag_sikker_e-mail/opsaetning_af_e-mail-program/windows_8/mozilla_thunderbird/ (sorry it's in Danish!)... however when I get to point 5. I get a warning saying unable to load module (check enclosed image). Please advice :)
Thanks in advance Regards,
Claus Erbs

Prior to setting up Thunderbird for NemID, have you installed the NemID extension program and successfully completed all steps? https://www.nemid.nu/dk-da/kom_i_gang_med_nemid/sikker_e-mail/send_og_modtag_sikker_e-mail/installation_paa_windows/index.html
What version is your Windows OS - 32 or 64-bit? Which NemID version did you download - 32 or 64-bit?
Thunderbird for Windows is 32-bit only. So you can only use the 32-bit NemID version.

I suppose you're still in the process of setting up NemID on your computer. I'm not exactly sure what NemID is, what it does, and why you'd need it int he first place. I'd therefore suggest you ask the NemID vendor for help.
Thanks for Your reply Christ1 - You're quite right I'm still in the process of setting up my email system (which has worked perfectly previously) however this time I'm stuck at setting up after having reinstalled my pc (due to hardware changes and so on) only now I'm not able to load the above mentioned nemid dll (which i s necessary for me) into the thunderbird security system to be able to send digitally signed secure mails (via a personal oces certificate and above mentioned security module) to the Danish public authorities. Here's a short explanation of what the Danish NemID system is all about:
"NemID is a common secure login on the Internet, whether you are doing your online banking, finding out information from the public authorities or engaging with one of the many businesses that use NemID."
As You suggest I have been talking to NemID vendor support engineers and they told me to contact thunderbird support as this problem is out of their hands. Please advice how to go on from here.
Thanks in advance Claus Erbs
I'd probably check whether the file NemID_PKCS11.dll exists on your disk in the first place.
Good point Christ1 - however I did check that in the first place - just to be sure. As You can see from the uploaded image it's on the disk and it's where it's supposed to be. If I sent You a copy of the dll could You try if You could add it to another TB install?
