Upper menu (tabs menu) is half hidden in Firefox for Mac

When Firefox for Mac updated to version 55.0.3 the upper menu (tabs menu) is now cut in half. This only happens when the app first loads. It does not happen with a new window. See attached image.

This issues has been reported as caused by the "Tab Groups" extension that shows in the System Details list.
