Convert email to task not working consistantly

After upgrading to Thunderbird ver 52.1.1. the option to convert an email to Task, is not working consistently/ I need to restart to get it to work and then it reverts to not working after a while. Seems it only happens with certain email. It never happened at all in the previous version. This needs to be fixed
