Why should I stay with Firefox when it eats memory (500Mb) at 10 to 20 times more than Edge or IExplore?

It's a known problem--lots of stuff about it out there, including lots of suggestions about stuff to do to maybe make it better. Does Mozilla even care? Why should we have to work so hard to continue using Mozilla Firefox?
