Thunderbirtd is a mail client. Your iphone also has a mail client.

Connect your mail client in the iphone to your mail providers email account in the same way Thunderbird is connected and you will see mail in both places. YOU do not connect your phone to Thunderbird.

This is the Thunderbird support forum. It isn't obvious how your query is related to Thunderbird.
