Why Firefox isn't clearing entered data anymore when closing?

So.. I've set Firefox to "Clear history when Firefox closes" on "about:preferences#privacy" and ticked all items in that specific settings page. Firefox did quite well on this task for some time but for some weeks now (I guess, can't say it for sure, sorry) it's failing at some point. It does clear cookies and most stuff but it, for instance, does not clear "Form and search history" which is ticked as well. How can I get Firefox to clear _all_ items on close again?

Can't remember changing anything at all, didn't install any addons or so. Probably just ran some updates through the distros packet management system (dnf). So, if anybody has some explanation for this issue?
