How do I send a group email blind, so everyones address is not seen ?

How do you send a group email Blind?

Thank you

You use Bcc:.

Where it says "To:" above your message text, the "To:" is actually a button which you can click to see other settings. "Bcc:" (blind carbon copy) is one of those.

Since you're asking this question, it would seem that you don't have the Contacts Sidebar, because this offers three buttons, one of which is labelled "Add to Bcc". You may have an address book button in the toolbar which toggles this side panel on and off, or you can do this by using the F7 button on your keyboard (or maybe it's F9; my memory is becoming increasingly less reliable.  :-( ).

Tip: change it to Bcc: before entering the actual address, then when you move to add the next address, it just copies the prevailing setting.

If you use Bcc a lot, there is an addon called Use Bcc Instead which will help you with this, by suggesting or automatically using Bcc.

I have ignored the detail that you asked about a "group" - I assume that's a Mailing List - because the procedure is just the same. You add your Mailing List's name as if it was an address, and change it from To: to Bcc:.
