I downloaded newest version of Firefox & it doesn't work. I Restored to previous & that doesn't work now either. I tried to uninstall Firefox & it won't. Help

See above. I went to my control panel & tried to uninstall Firefox and that just sits there and nothing happens. I cannot use the current version of Firefox as noted above. When I loaded the update first, it says it loaded and then when I tried to use Firefox, it said something about a plug-in canister not working. That's when I restored my computer to a couple of weeks back which got rid of the update and gave me the previous version of Firefox. That does not come up either now. How can I get rid of it and reinstall Firefox from scratch?

Download Firefox Full Version For All languages And Systems {web link} Save the file. Then;

Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.

Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86) Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. Linux: Check your user manual.

• Linux: If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see Install Firefox on Linux. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder Firefox in your home directory.

Look for, and rename any Mozilla or Firefox folders by adding .old to them.

After rebooting the computer, run a registry scanner. Then run the installer. If all goes well, remove the OLD folders when you are done.

nininger64 you had a thread on this already at https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1085333

However since Fred replied to this one and not the original I have to lock other as duplicate of this thread instead.
