Update to Firefox OS 2.0 not available
Hello,
I just bought an Alcatel One Touch Fire E with Firefox OS 1.3 installed. I tried to do the update to the 2.0 version but the system says i have the last version available. I also tried with the software Alcated provides to update the phone but it reinstalls the version 1.3. I sent an email to Alcatel and they said the update should be available through the phone.
How can I do the update to Firefox OS 2.0 ?
Thank you for your help

The update channel is : release-tcl-DT-PL
ok, this is strange. i got the same device with the same update channel a few month ago and was able to update to 2.0 without any issue. can you try to reset the device and try again (also make sure that you're connected to a wifi network)...
I tried to reset my device but it doesn't fix the problem. I was connected to a wifi network.

i have saved the update.zip package to update to firefox os 2.0 on the phone. i will try to upload and share it with you (would have to do that tomorrow once i have a faster uplink connection)...
Okay, and what will I have to do with this update.zip file ?
i thought you just have to put it onto your sd card or internal memory and boot into the recovery mode (when phone is off hold power and volume up button). however i just tested this and the zip isn't recognized by this procedure :-/
What can I do then to update my phone ? :/
you might want to try to get in contact with alcatel's support again to get more assistance with the issue then.
i've found that somebody else has already uploaded the OTA zip image for the phone here. you may be able to install it through adb sideload, however this would require quite a bit of technical knowledge and we can't really support this here... http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.in/2013/12/ow-to-use-adb-sideload.html
I can't put the zip file into the internal memory and boot on recovery mode like I would have done with the other one ?
