How to customize automatic email addresses that pop up when you type the first characters
When I type the first characters of an email address, I would prefer that the most frequently used email addresses pop up. This does not happen in Thunderbird. How can I adjust that in a setting?
Chosen solution
'Tools' > 'Account Settings' > 'Composition & Addressing' for the mail account
or locate via 'menu icon' > 'Options' > 'Account Settings' > 'Composition & Addressing' for the mail account Under 'Addressing' select 'Use my global LDP server preferences for this account' Click on 'Global Addressing Prefernces' button to open this link 'Tools' > 'Options' > 'composition' > 'Addressing tab When addressing messages, look for matching entries in select: 'Local Address Books' click on OK Back in 'Account Settings' > 'Composition & Addressing' ....at the bottom where it says 'Addressbooks for address auto complete' click on 'Edit' make sure all the address books are selected or make your selection click on OK Finally click on OK to save changes to Account Settings.

Thank you Ashiqur, the preference changes that you suggested, made me look a bit more careful at my addresses lists, and I could delete the culprits. kindest regards, Jack
