The firefox OS app "pc sync" tells me to install a firefox browser add-on from a Chinese domain. Is this legitimate? Why from China?

This firefox browser add-on to connect to the firefox OS app "pc sync" ( https://marketplace.firefox.com/app/pcsync?src=search ) is not available via the normal browser "Get add-ons" page. You are sent insstead to a Chinese site: http://download.firefox.com.cn/ ffosassistant.xpi Is it legit? Why is the add-on not downloadable via the normal "get add-ons" procedure?

All marketplace addons are safe as they are reviewed before they appear on marketplace.

Good question. I have used it without noticing problems, but I don't know why the PC add-on part is not available on the usual addons site.
