Recently moved profile to new system. Local folders show up but are empty. The profile shows there is data there. Any thoughts on how to unlock?

I had a dying laptop. Before it died I copied my profile onto a USB stick. I got a newer laptop and copied over the contents. I use Local Folders extensively as I have 8 years of history in there and the company won't let me keep that much so I store it locally. When I started up the new profile I pointed it to the one I copied over. When I started up Thunderbird the folder names populated but there are no messages! When you look at the profile you can see that there are different data sizes for each folder so I know it's there.

I tried to subscribe to it but the local folders don't show up when you do that.

I'm pretty frustrated. Any ideas?

Thanks

right click the folder select properties and then the repair button?

Well- that seemed like it might work - didn't know that existed. Unfortunately it didn't change a thing. The folder is there but has nothing in it. I tried it on several of the folders with the same result.
