The last time I ran CCleaner (https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner), it deleted all my Thunderbird whitelist entries I'd set up to allow remote content.

Where is this whitelist stored, please?

For CCleaner v5.02.5101, here is its menu of items that can be cleaned: a. Internet Cache b. Internet History c. Cookies d. Download History e. Session f. Site Preferences g. Saved Form Information h. Saved Passwords

Many thanks!

This is the only impact I am aware of. The white list used to be in your address book but with the last version has been moved to the prefs.js preferences file and is sored along with all your account settings.

I do not think there was a migration as such as the basis of the white list changed from email address to image source. Perhaps it was not ccleaner but the change in Thunderbird.

Unchecking the Session option in ccleaner was the ticket, Matt. Thank you very much!!
