I get messages from Firefox on my Mac desktop to update to firefox 32.0, but when I go to your website to do so, it states I have the latest version. I have 31.0 on the desktop. Is 31.0 really the latest version for my Mac desktop? Is 32.0 for mobile devices then? Why do I get the message on my Mac desktop to update?

So if you are quick enough then you may only have to do two small incremental updates (31 > 32.0.3 > 33.0) instead of having to download and install the full Firefox 33 update as happens if you skip updates.

You can check for updates in Firefox in Help > About or you can go to https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ for 32.0.3.

Note that Firefox for desktop and Android is going to be at version 33.0 on Tuesday Oct 14.
