I'm using Firefox OS 1.3 on the Flame. I've set up an email account in the main email app. My email provider is gmail via IMAP. In Gmail, my labels are configured to sync labems messages to folders of the same name. I've dozen of labels, but I can only see the inbox and one of the label.

Is there something wrong ? Or folders creates only when new messages arrive?

Chosen solution

My gmail account was created a long time ago, when labels didn't exists. Then I've mapped my folders to labels: it produces labels like : INBOX/twit. It seems the email client in firefox OS doesn't support them (INBOX/ has been created by thunderbird...).

So, I've inlined all my labels and now they are available on the ffos email app.

This is solved for me, but I guess I have to fill a bug, right?

Hi Krampstudio,

I am able to see my folders and labels correctly on my Firefox OS Flame device.

I don't believe that you need to wait until new messages arrive before the folder appears in the Mail app. Tapping on the folder should display all the email conversations within that folder.

Can you please verify your Gmail settings? Follow these steps:

  1. Go into your Gmail account
  2. Tap on the Gear icon in the top right corner
  3. Tap on Settings
  4. Select the Labels tab

Make sure that all the option Show in IMAP is market on all labels you wish to see in your Firefox OS device.

I hope this information may be helpful. Please let us know if you are still having issues, or if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

- Ralph

Yes my labels are already flagged as "show in IMAP". I'm going to try to remove the account and set it up again.

Still the same. I'll try with another IMAP client to see if the problems comes from the provider or the app.

There is definitely an issue with the email app (see the screenshot, with the same configuration on thunderbird and FFOS email app). Then I'm also not able to send an email.

still the same after a reset. I hope next release will fix it. Or may be is there a log file where I can look for issues while configuring/syncing so I can identify what cause the problem
