Thunderbird downloads junk mail not visible when I check e-mail on the web
I am having a problem in Thunderbird which I also used to have in Eudora - which is why I switched to Thunderbird to being with. If I look at my e-mail using Verizon's web-based e-mail reader, and then immediately download my e-mails to Thunderbird, I will have several junk and spam e-mail messages that were not visible on the web reader. One of the things all of these junk messages have in common is that the link to be removed from their mailing list takes you to a site which does not work in this regard.
I have scanned my computer using Malware Bytes and it detects nothing. What might be causing this and how might I stop it?

have you looked in the spam folder on Verizons web site? I think you will find those mails there, or in another folder on their site.
I did look in the spam box online before downloading. These messages aren't there. And when I'm downloading my e-mail, the spam messages all pop in at the last second after my regular e-mail has downloaded.
Thunderbird and all other email clients download what is in your Inbox on your providers server. Ask your provider why all your messages do not display on their web mail page.

Could you copy to clipboard and paste the information in your Troubleshooting information on the help menu. I think the SPAM may well be coming from another account. Lets see.
Thank you for looking at this. Here it is. Interestingly, I have Thunderbird set to receive e-mail from two accounts, but the troubleshooting information shows three accounts, two of which look the same.

check both your accounts on the web. I think the spam will be coming from account3 which will be the last one appearing in the folders on the left. or the second one in the account settings if you use global inbox.
