when I click on a recipient mail address, I get a double mail screen

Along with the double screen, when I move the cursor to the top left of the message box, a window pops up that says "advanced property editor" and inside the window it says text #000000 and bgcolor #FFFFFF. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Chosen solution

Sounds like you have a mouse that is going bad and issuing a double click when you click it. Both of your issues would be caused by a double click. Do you have a different mouse that you could try?
