WhatsApp isn't available for Firefox OS but Facebook messages or LINE are good alternatives. We'll show how to get started chatting.

Note: There may be some third-party apps that can communicate with WhatsApp.

Facebook Messages

Quickly message anyone you know on Facebook.

  1. Open the Facebook app, tap on the messages icon and select the new chat button.

  2. Start to type the name of the person you want and a list of your friends will show up. When you see the one you want, just tap on it.

    • To add another person to the chat, tap to the right of the first name and type the name of another friend. Then tap on the friend you want to add.

  3. Now you can start chatting away. Don't forget to hit Send after you type your message.

LINE

Send messages and images to your friends.

LINE is now available in the Marketplace.

Note: If Telefónica operates in your country, but you are not a Telefónica customer, LINE will be available to you in six months. Telefónica customers and users in countries without Telefónica will be able to use LINE immediately.
