Firefox for Android includes a new feature called Reader Mode, which allows distraction-free reading of the Web.
Note: If your device's total memory is approximately 384MB or less, then reader mode will be disabled.
- To enable Reader Mode, wait for the Web page to load, then when you see the book icon next to the URL, tap on it.
You can control the Reader Mode with four icons at the bottom of the screen:
- By tapping this icon, you can add the current page to your reading list (a special folder in your bookmarks list). If the item was already added to the reading list, tapping the Trash icon will remove it from the reading list. Note: The reading list folder will not be shown until the first item is added to the list. If all the items in the list are removed, the reading list will be hidden again.
- By tapping this icon, you can display the reading list.
- The third icon lets you change the size of the text and margins, as well as change the theme from black on white, to white on black (for night reading).
- The fourth icon, like in other applications, allows you to share the page publishing it in social networks like Facebook and Twitter, or sending it via email or SMS.
