Sometimes, add-ons can break your browser or mess up your setting preferences. This article explains how to troubleshoot and solve your Firefox issues related to add-ons.
How to know if my problem is relate to add-ons?
Here are some characteristics (however not limited to) if your issue might relates to add-ons:
- Default search enginge is changed without notice
What I need to do?
Essentially, you need to file a question in our support forum to find out more about the issue you're experiencing.
If you haven't file a question on the forum
- When you create a new question, on the "Troubleshooting Information" section, click the Share Data button.
- If it doesn't automatically gather your information, go to about:support directly from your address bar
- Click the Copy raw data to clipboard
- Paste the data on the text field under "Troubleshooting Information" section
If you have filed a question on the forum
- Go to your question
- Click Edit this question menu on the right sidebar
- Do the same thing mention above
Recommended Extensions program
To make sure that you use add-ons that are safe, you can install extensions from the Recommended Extensions program. Firefox staff thoroughly evaluate each extension before it receives Recommended status to make sure that the add-ons are safe.
