How to perform Sync on Firefox desktop

You can enable logins sync on Firefox desktop, so you can access your logins across other synced devices.

Before you begin: Sign up for a free Firefox account if you don't already have one.

Set up automatic sync

  1. In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click Firefox and select Settings (select Preferences on older macOS versions).Click the menu button Fx89menuButton and select Settings.
  2. Click Sync from the menu options to open the sync settings panel.
    • If the Sync panel shows Syncing: ON, click Change…. If it shows Syncing: OFF, click Set Up Sync… to turn Sync on, if Sync has been disabled (you might need to sign in first to be able to make any changes).
  3. In the Choose What To Sync box that opens, put a check mark next to Logins and passwords.

  4. Click Save Changes.

Force a manual sync

Firefox accounts will sync at regular intervals, but you can also force a manual sync.

  1. Click the Mozilla account icon on the Firefox toolbar.

  2. Click Sync Now.
