What data do you receive from my account?
There are two primary users in Splash, Event Hosts and Event Attendees that RSVP. Event Host tools can only be accessed through Mozilla’s SSO. Attendees that have RSVP’d to an event:
- Name
- Newsletter opt-in preference
Some events might have additional fields on their RSVP form. If you filled those out, that data is also stored. A non-exhaustive list of these would be:
- T-shirt size
- Gender
- Company Name
Content
Event Hosts have their events publicly associated with their account. Very few, but some event pages might have an attendee section that displays Attendees in which case your Attendee information is public.
If a guest registers for an event, then the events they have registered for and the responses to any registration question will be affiliated with their contact profile, which is only available to event organizers.
How do I access my account data?
For Event Hosts, instructions to access your account are here: https://support.splashthat.com/hc/en-us/articles/202366865-How-do-I-update-my-account-details-
For Attendees that have RSVP’d to an event: Splash does not have the concept of an "account" for event attendees. Rather they become a "contact" in the Mozilla’s instance of the software. The attendee can request to see the data Mozilla has collected on them by contacting us at eventmanagement@mozilla.com.
How do I update my account data?
For Event Hosts, instructions to update your account are here: https://support.splashthat.com/hc/en-us/articles/202366865-How-do-I-update-my-account-details-
For Attendees that have RSVP’d to an Event: Attendees may contact Mozilla to have data updated; Event Hosts may correct erroneous information collected on an attendee at their event level guest list or contact level. Attendees may update erroneous information by RSVPing to other events.
How do I delete my account data?
For Event Hosts, instructions to delete your account are here: https://support.splashthat.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002117123-How-do-I-delete-my-Splash-account-
For Attendees that have RSVP’d to an Event: To delete your data please email eventmanagement@mozilla.com and we will email you to confirm this has been done. Splash does not have a concept of an account for event attendees so it will just be your specific event related activity.
How long do you keep my account data?
We keep account data for as long as your account is open, unless you choose to delete the account.
