Bluetooth is a wireless technology standard you can use to exchange data over a short distance. You can learn more about it here.

Enable Bluetooth

  1. To enable Bluetooth, tap settings icon to open the Settings application.
  2. Tap the Bluetooth button and the settings window for it will appear.

  3. Toggle the on and off button to turn Bluetooth on and off.
    bt icon represents that bluetooth is enabled.
  4. Select the device you want to pair and tap Done.
    You will receive a notification when pairing succeeds or fails.
Tip: To enable Bluetooth from any screen, swipe down and tap the Bluetooth icon in the settings tray.

Rename your device

  1. Tap the Settings app and choose Bluetooth.

  2. Tap the Bluetooth toggle switch to enable Bluetooth and view options for visibility of your device, searching and renaming devices.
  3. Tap the Rename my device button and tap inside the Change phone name field that appears.
  4. Type a new name and tap the OK button.
    The new name appears under the Visible to All setting.
Note: When not using Bluetooth, you can quickly access the Bluetooth control in the utility tray by swiping down from the top of your home screen.
