Search engines
Firefox for Android includes built-in search for Google, Amazon, Twitter and Wikipedia.
- To start your search, tap the Title bar or + at the top of any screen.
- Type your search keyword.
- The list of built-in search engines appears.
- The list of built-in search engines appears.
- Tap the engine you want to use to complete your search.
- The search is performed by the chosen engine and results are narrowed to that site. This example shows the result of choosing Amazon.com to complete a search for the word flowers.
Find in page
Firefox 14 for Android does not support text selection or find-in-page, but it is fixed in the latest version!
Find in Page
- To use Find in page, tap the main menu > More and select Find in page.
- Type the word you want to find.
- The word gets highlighted on the screen.
- Use the up or down arrows to move to the next instance of the word.
Search Suggestion
Firefox lists Google search suggestions alongside relevant search history and bookmarks. To toggle the search sugggestion feature, tap the Menu > Settings and check the Show search suggestion.
- Tap the Title bar or + at the top of screen and Firefox will show you suggestion on every search.

How do I change the default search engine?
Firefox for Android lets you change the default search engine from the add-ons manager. To change the default search engine:
- Tap the at the bottom right on some devices or in the upper right of the browser) , then tap (on some phones you may have tap first) and tap . (either
- Tap on the search engine that you would like to set as default and tap on
(Note: the button will be disabled for the current default search engine).
