The Babylon translation software installs the Babylon toolbar and other add-ons for Firefox and other browsers. It also changes a number of preferences such as your home page and search engine. These add-ons and settings changes are done in a way that may be difficult to detect and reverse. This article will cover some options for removing Babylon and resetting the Firefox options that it changes.

Option 1: Reset Firefox to remove the Babylon toolbar and restore the default home page and search engine
The Firefox reset feature is quick, easy to use and will remove the Babylon toolbar from Firefox and reset the preferences it changes. - At the top of the Firefox window, click the

- To continue, click in the confirmation window that opens.
- Firefox will close and be reset. When it's done, a window will list the information that was imported. Click and Firefox will open. That's it – you're done!

1. Uninstall the Babylon translation software
- From the Start Menu in the Windows taskbar, select Control Panel. The Control Panel opens.
- Open the Windows program listing.
- (Windows Vista/7) Click Programs and then Programs and Features.
- (Windows 2000/XP) Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
- From the list of currently installed programs, select Babylon.
- To begin the uninstall:
- (Windows Vista/7) Click at the top of the window.
- (Windows 2000/XP) Click on the right of Babylon.
- In the Babylon Uninstall Wizard that opens, click and then follow the onscreen instructions.
2. Remove Babylon Add-ons from Firefox
- Click the menu button
, click and select .
- Click the button next to each of the Babylon related add-ons.
- Once you clicked next to each Babylon add-on, click the Restart now link. Your tabs will be saved and restored after the restart.
3. Remove the Babylon search engine
