We'll show you how to automatically open any web page you want when you launch Firefox or click the Home button Home ButtonHome Button 57.

Set or change your home page

  1. Open a tab with the web page you want to use as your home page.
  2. Drag and drop that tab onto the Home button Home Button on your toolbar.

  3. Click Yes to set this page as your home page.

  3. Click Yes on the prompt to set this page as your home page.

Set your home page through Firefox preferences

  1. In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click Firefox and then select Preferences or Settings, depending on your macOS version.Click the menu button Fx89menuButton and select Settings.
  2. Choose the General panel.

  • The default Startup setting for When Firefox starts is to show your home page. You can also choose from the drop-down menu to have Firefox show a blank page or to show your windows and tabs from your last session.
  • You can set multiple pages as your home page. Open each page in a separate tab and click on Use Current Pages under Home PageHome pageHome page.

  2. Click the Home panel.
  3. Click the menu next to Homepage and new windows and choose an option to show either the Firefox Home page, enter your own URLs or show a blank page.

Restore the default home page

If you want to delete your home page customizations, this is how to do it:

  1. In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click Firefox and then select Preferences or Settings, depending on your macOS version.Click the menu button Fx89menuButton and select Settings.
  2. Select the General panel.
  3. In the Startup section under Home PageHome pageUnder Home page, click Restore to Default.
  4. Close the Settings page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.
