How to pin and unpin Firefox from the taskbar on Windows 10 and Windows 11

This article describes how to pin Firefox to the taskbar on Windows for easy access. To learn how to set Firefox as your default browser, see Make Firefox your default browser on Windows.

Pin Firefox from the taskbar:

  1. Open Firefox on your computer. The Firefox icon will appear in the taskbar.
  2. Right-click on the icon and select Pin to taskbar.

Pin Firefox from the start menu:

Windows 10

  1. Click the Windows menu button in the taskbar.
  2. Find the application you want to pin. Right-click on it and select Pin to taskbar.

Windows 11

  1. Click the Windows menu button in the taskbar.
  2. Click the arrow next to All Apps at the top right side of the apps panel. Hover over the app you want to pin to the taskbar. Right-click on it and select Pin to taskbar.

Alternatively, you can drag the Firefox icon directly from your desktop onto the taskbar.

Unpin Firefox from the taskbar

  1. Right-click the Firefox icon in the taskbar.
  2. Select Unpin from taskbar.
