Want to visit the pages you had open the last time you used Firefox? Here are some easy ways to do it.

Restore the previous session from the default home page

If you had tabs and windows open when you closed Firefox, the default Firefox Start page will have a Restore Previous Session button. To get your tabs and windows back, just click it.

Note: If you've set your home page to something other than the default Firefox home page, you can restore the default home page.

Restore the previous session from the History menu

Here's how to get back your tabs and windows from a previous session, if you don't use the default Firefox home page:

  1. Click on the menu button The image "new fx menu" does not exist. on the right side of your toolbar.
  2. Select History to expand the drop-down list and choose Restore Previous Session.

Here's how to get back your tabs and windows from a previous session using the Firefox menu:

  1. Click the menu button The image "Fx57menu" does not exist. on the right side of your toolbar.
  2. Select Restore Previous Session.

Restore the previous session every time you open Firefox

When Firefox starts, a single window is opened by default, displaying your specified home page. You can set Firefox to always show your windows and tabs from your previous session each time you start Firefox. To change your Firefox startup settings:

  1. In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click Firefox and then select Preferences or Settings, depending on your macOS version.Click the menu button Fx89menuButton and select Settings.
  2. Select the General panel.
  3. In the When Firefox starts drop-down menu, select Show my windows and tabs from last timeShow your windows and tabs from last time.

  4. Close the Settings page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.
