Firefox Monitor is a data breach notification service offered by Mozilla that warns you if your online accounts have been involved in a data leak. Using the Have I Been Pwned database, Firefox Monitor keeps track of known data breaches and notifies you if your online accounts are compromised, providing guidance on how to proactively protect yourself going forward.

Check if you've been part of a known breach
To see if your online accounts have been exposed in a data breach:
- Open your web browser and go to monitor.firefox.com.
- Enter your email address into the designated field.
- Click
- From here, you can browse or search for specific breaches. Click the More about this breach link to see details about the breach.
- An overview of the breach will be displayed, showing the compromised data.
- Scroll the page down for instructions on what to do to resolve the breach.
Get alerts about future breaches
After checking the breach details, you can sign up to receive alerts about future breaches involving this email address. To do so:
- After checking the breach information by following the steps listed above, scroll the page down until you see the sign up banner and click
- If you haven't already, sign in to your Firefox Account.
- All set! From now on, Firefox Monitor will notify you if a breach involving the email used in your Firefox Account is found.
Get alerts for additional email addresses
You can enroll multiple email addresses for breach alerts from a single Firefox Account. To add additional emails to our monitoring database, do the following:
- On the Firefox Monitor home page, scroll down until you see the Want to add a new email? option.
- Add the email address you wish to monitor and click
- Go to your inbox and click
- A success message will confirm the verification. From now on, Firefox Monitor will notify you about data breaches for this email address.
