Firefox tab crashes with Quick Heal security software

After the update to Firefox 63, Windows users with Quick Heal security software running on their system might be impacted by content in tabs repeatedly crashing while they are using 32-bit versions Firefox. We are in contact with the vendor about this problem and while they are looking into deploying a fix for this, a workaround for affected users is to disable the [http://www.quickheal.com/sandbox/howto browser sandbox feature] within Quick Heal: # Open your Quick Heal security product # On the Dashboard, click on {button Internet & Network} # Disable the Browser Sandbox setting by clicking the toggle next to it, so that it’s OFF: #;[[Image:disable quick heal browser sandbox]] # Restart Firefox for the change to take effect As an alternative, affected users can also [[How to switch from 32-bit to 64-bit Firefox|switch to 64-bit versions of Firefox]] in case their Windows system is supporting that.

1. Open your Quick Heal security product
2. On the Dashboard, click on Internet & Network
3. Disable the Browser Sandbox setting by clicking the toggle next to it, so that it’s OFF:

   

4. Restart Firefox for the change to take effect

As an alternative, affected users can also switch to 64-bit versions of Firefox in case their Windows system is supporting that.
