If there is an entry in the BCC field and not in the To field, the email will be sent to all the BCC recipients and will be displayed as being sent to "undisclosed recipients" or similar wording by the receiving email program.

  • Tap the BCC field to manually add an email address. Tap the + button to select someone from your contacts.

Special Note for Gmail users

Gmail will remove the names in the BCC list from your sent folder. That means you will have no record of to whom an email was BCCed. If you need a record of whom you BCCed in an email, you will have to manually record this yourself before sending the email. This only applies to Gmail accounts.

Privacy and security settings

Mozilla cares about your privacy and security on the web. Firefox OS enables you add the following security features to protect your information.

How do I enable Do Not Track?

The Do-not-track feature on your Firefox OS device, tells websites not to track you browsing behavior. See How to turn on the Do-not-track feature on Firefox OS.

How do I enable Phone lock?

To enable the Phone lock on your Firefox OS device, with or without a passcode, see Set Screen Lock on Firefox OS.

How do I use SIM PIN?

To create and enable the SIM PIN on your Firefox OS device to prevent access to your SIM card, see Set SIM PIN on Firefox OS.

How do I clear browsing history and cookies?

To clear your Firefox browsing history and cookies, see Clear Browsing History, Cookies and Stored Data on Firefox OS.

How do I use the browser padlock icon?

Look for the padlock icon padlock in Firefox before entering any personal information (passwords, credit cards, addresses, etc.) into a web site.

Most major websites track their visitors' behavior and then sell or provide that information to other companies (like advertisers). Firefox has a Do Not Track feature that lets you tell websites you don't want your browsing behavior tracked. This article explains what tracking is, how the Do Not Track feature works and how to turn it on.

What is tracking?

Tracking is a term that includes many different methods that websites, advertisers and others use to learn about your web browsing behavior. This includes information about what sites you visit, things you like, dislike and purchase. They often use this information to show ads, products or services specifically targeted to you.

See who’s tracking you online: Download the Lightbeam add-on for Firefox

How does the Do Not Track feature work?

When you turn on the Do Not Track feature, Firefox tells every website you visit (as well as their advertisers and other content providers) that you don't want your browsing behavior tracked. Honoring this setting is voluntary — individual websites are not required to respect it. Websites that do honor this setting should automatically stop tracking your behavior without any further action from you.

Turning on Do Not Track will not affect your ability to log in to websites nor cause Firefox to forget your private information — such as the contents of shopping carts, location information or login information.

Note: You may see less relevant advertising on websites if you have the Do Not Track option activated.

How do I turn the Do-not-track feature on?

The Do-not-track feature is turned off by default. To turn it on:

  1. Scroll and find the Settings application Settings 1.3 Settings 1.4 Settings- 2.0 (small) .
  2. Find and tap the Do Not Track in the Privacy & Security section.

It's helpful for Mozilla's engineers to be able to measure how Firefox for Android behaves in the real world. The Telemetry feature provides this capability by sending them performance and usage information. As you use Firefox, Telemetry measures and collects non-personal information, such as memory consumption, responsiveness timing and feature usage. It then sends this information to Mozilla on a daily basis and we use it to make Firefox better for you.

Firefox also has a Crash Reporter feature that warns you when Firefox closes unexpectedly, and allows you to send this information so the engineers can make Firefox more stable and secure.

For more about what kind of information is collected and how it's used, see our privacy policy.

How do I opt-in or opt-out of sending performance data?

You can turn this feature on or off at any time in your Settings:

  1. Tap the Menu button (either below the screen on some devices or at the top right corner of the browser) and then Settings (you may need to tap More first) .
  2. Next tap Mozilla and then check or uncheck the box next to Telemetry in the Data Choices section.
  3. Check or uncheck the box next to Crash Reporter to send crash reports back to Mozilla.
  1. Tap the Menu button (either below the screen on some devices or at the top right corner of the browser) and then Settings (you may need to tap More first) .
  2. Next tap Data choices and then check or uncheck the box next to Telemetry.
