If your latest version of Firefox is crashing when you're trying to install it on Windows XP, this might be caused by your Windows Firewall being turned off. This is how to quickly fix it:

1. Enable Windows Firewall by clicking Start, click Run, type Firewall.cpl, and then click OK.

2. On the General tab, click ON(recommended)

3. Click OK.

4. Run Firefox installer
