There are lots of great add-ons that you can install to add features to Firefox. This article explains how to find, install and manage add-ons in Firefox for Android.

This article applies to the latest version of Firefox for Android. Please update your version first to enjoy these features.

How do I find and install add-ons?

You can access the Android add-ons from inside Firefox for Android:

  1. Tap the menu button (either at the bottom right on some devices or in the upper right of the browser)
  2. Tap the Tools menu item (you may need to tap More first) .
  3. Tap the Add-ons menu item.
  4. Tap Browse all Firefox Add-ons
  5. Type in the name of the add-on you want in the search box or scroll down to browse through the collections of add-ons.

  6. When you find an add-on you'd like to install, tap on the Add to Firefox button and follow the installation prompts. Some add-ons will prompt you to restart your browser if needed. Enjoy your new add-on!

How do I update, change options or remove add-ons?

Updating your add-ons: When you update Firefox for Android, it will automatically update your add-ons to compatible versions if they're available.

Temporary disable or permanently uninstall an add-on:

  1. Return to your add-ons screen by tapping the menu button, then Tools (you may need to tap More first) , and finally Add-ons.
  2. Tap an installed add-on to reveal its Options, Disable and Uninstall buttons.
  3. Tap Options to configure your add-on, Disable to deactivate it temporarily, or Uninstall to remove the add-on entirely.
  4. Restart your browser if prompted.
