The new Firefox (57) works well with screen readers, but some on slower computers have reported some problems with certain web pages. Help us improve Firefox by reporting any problems to us.
Can I update to the new Firefox?
If you are using current versions of NVDA, JAWS (rev 18.0.4321 or higher) and other screen readers, Firefox will automatically update to its current version.
If you have an older JAWS release ( older than rev. 18.0.2945), these screen readers are not compatible with multiprocess browsers in general so Firefox will not automatically update.
What should I do if my screen reader doesn't work well?
We are continually trying to improve Firefox with your help. If you're still having problems, try the following:
- Use the Extended Support Release (ESR) version of Firefox meant for organizations at Firefox ESR.
- Have a fall back browser or more recent screen reader handy.
