After updating to Firefox 18, animated Personas will no longer animate. Here's a simple workaround to fix that.

Note: This article doesn't apply to your version of Firefox.

Intall the Personas Shuffler add-on to restore animated Personas

  1. Go to the Personas Shuffler add-on page.
  2. Click the green Add to Firefox button and a software installation window will open.
  3. After the 3 second countdown, click Install Now.
    • The Personas Shuffler add-on will be installed and your animated Persona should be animated again.

If you have more than one Persona installed, this add-on will activate a new one each time you start Firefox. To switch Personas, follow these steps:

  1. Click the menu button Fx89menuButton, click Add-ons and themesExtensions and themes and select Appearance.
  2. Click the Enable button next to the Persona you want to use.
