The fallout from that is that only the first frame of an animated persona gets loaded, so it doesn't animate. We are happy with the way this works and we can't distinguish between animated and non-animated personas so it would be a huge effort to rework this so that we can accommodate animated persona users. There is another bug listed there that when fixed will allow someone to create an addon that would turn off this behavior if they really wanted the animated persona. There is also this workaround: Install Personas Shuffler extension (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/personas-shuffler/) and if you have only one persona installed it will be automatically retriggered after each startup, so in fact the animation never stops. --> Revision Content
