Keep up with friends, see the stories people are talking about and more with Firefox services. Services let you integrate the features of a site like Facebook right into Firefox. This article will get you started.

The template "ApplyToFx" does not exist or has no approved revision.

Add services to Firefox

Each service has its own page with information about the feature and a button to turn it on.

  1. Visit one of these services:
  2. Click the Turn On or Activate button on the page. A sidebar will open and a confirmation message will be shown.
  3. Click OK in the confirmation message to turn the service on.
Note: Some services, like Facebook, require you to be logged into the service in order for it to work properly.

Turn a service off and back on again

Got to get some work done? Here's how to temporarily turn things off.

  • To turn a service off, click the Service button (Facebook Messenger, msnNOW, etc.) in the toolbar and select Turn off.

Disable or remove a service

If necessary, you can disable or remove a service from Firefox.

  1. Click the Service button in the toolbar and select Manage Services…. This will open the Services tab of the Add-ons Manager.

    Manage Services
  2. In the Services tab, click the Disable or Remove button next to a service.
Note: If you remove a service and then later want to use it again, you will have to re-add it to Firefox.

Having trouble? Here are some things you can try

If you see a message in the sidebar that Firefox can't connect with a service:

  • Click the Try Again button.

    Try Again

If that doesn't work, you may just have to wait a bit for the service to become available again.

Tip: You can also try removing and then re-adding a service.
