IF it is the same thing, as seems possible, it may be a known issue only affecting some Macs and the work around is to downgrade by using an uninstaller and reinstall the older versions

Note the Adobe thread also mentions how to deal with update popups that occur after downgrading.

This solved my problem.. Thank you for this fix.
Great, thanks for posting back, and for the initial report.
The downgrade will likely result in weekly or whatever popups advising you to upgrade. The Adobe thread explains how those may be disabled but it may in fact be a good idea to leave the warnings and take the opportunity on seeing the warning to review the Adobe thread for any update.
Staying on an outdated version of FlashPlayer is not something you will wish to do unnecessarily. You may miss improvements and will eventually miss a critical security update. It is something they will be fixing but I do not have any idea of the time frame. Not sure if it may be days or many weeks.
To make this thread easier to find I have amended the title and added

Note there is now a suitable Release of FlashPlayer 13 the following is from an update to the Adobe thread:
Update 4/16 I'm pleased to announce that Flash Player 13.0.0.201 for Mac is now available from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer. This release resolves the crash described in this thread. As noted above, you can either download this immediately from adobe.com or wait for the update to be applied automatically, within 24 hours, via our recommended auto update mechanism.
