How to download a file

To download a file

1. Tap on a download link.
2. A download confirmation appears, this shows the file name and size.
   Tap the Download button to confirm you want to download the file.

   

3. When the download is finished, the Download completed message appears.
   Tap the Open button to view the file with some app installed in your device.

   

To download a PDF file

1. Click on the link of the PDF you want to download. The PDF will automatically open in Firefox.
2. Tap the three dots at the bottom right of the screen.
3. Tap Open in app to open the file in your default PDF viewer.

   

Alternatively, you can navigate to your downloaded files by tapping the three dots on the bottom right side of the screen, then tap Downloads to see a list of your downloaded files.

To download an image

1. Tap and hold on the image you want to download.
2. Select Save image.
3. When the download is finished, the Download completed message appears.
   Tap the Open button to view the image.

   

View and delete download files

You can view and delete your downloaded files from the Downloads page in Firefox.

1. Tap the menu button.

2. Tap Downloads. A list of files that were downloaded on Firefox for Android appears.
3. Tap a file in the list to open it.

Remove a download:

1. Tap the trash icon to the right of the file you want to remove from the download list. A confirmation notification appears briefly, with an option to UNDO.

Remove all downloads:

1. Tap and hold on one of the files in the list to be able to select multiple items.
2. Tap the three-dot button to the right.
3. Tap Select all in the menu.
4. Tap again the three-dot button.
5. Select Remove in the menu.

A notification, with an option to UNDO, confirms briefly the deletion of the download list. The files are not removed from the device.
